It all started last summer when I was desperately looking for a nice evening bag for a wedding I was attending. I could not find anything beautiful and affordable so I ended up making my own. After that, I got lots of requests and so I started bagatelles&co!
I have always been immersed in Arts&Crafts. Born in a family of artists and crafters, I then went on studying Fashion design and Textile initially in Paris and then in London. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins in July 2007, I have worked with several Designers, including Alexander McQueen, Richard Nicoll and Marios Schwab.
Spending my childhood between France and Tunisia nourished my love for Couture, beautiful textiles and colours while my training in tailoring influences the shapes and structure of my bags.
I believe in sustainability in Fashion, sourcing mostly from remnants and end of rolls, thus avoiding waste, and I also love using vintage silks. All my bags come in a protective pouch made from organic cotton and printed with water based inks. Gift wrapping and packaging are all recyclable.
