Cara Fairbairn graduated from Glasgow School of Artin June 2008 and is currently working as a contemporary designer/maker
based in Glasgow. From her studio in Glasgow she produces contemporary
hand made jewellery which is 1920's inspired.
Every aspect of the Great Gatsby era creatively
excites her from the elegance & drama of the jazz age, to the
decoration and styling of the garments, the adornment of glamour and
the sense of excitement.
The collection mainly incorporates sterling silver, oxidised sterling silver, black onyx, freshwater pearls, garnets and rose quartz.
Cara applies her individual, contemporary styling to age the materials
to produce a timeless collection of jewellery with a 'modern vintage'
theme.
