Claire Vine, designer-maker and the driving force behind the label Elsy & Vine creates beautiful knitted accessories with a strong sense of colour, pattern and identity. She takes inspiration from many things - a snapshot image on TV, a beautiful vintage find, a photograph, a person, a snippet of conversation. Claire can often be found whipping her camera or note book out at the most inappropriate times!
Claire strives to design and create contemporary timeless pieces that will be loved and cherished and live forever.
She designs, knits and finishes her products by hand (with a little help from Nanny Q and Mrs M) in her little garden studio in Hampshire. Claire also teaches BA Knitted Textile Design at Winchester School of Art.
About the products:
- Everything is designed and made in Hampshire - All knitted fabrics are washed using non-biological detergent before being made up into gorgeous products - All stuffing (where applicable) is polyester fibre - Gentle surface cleaning or dry cleaning is recommended
