Showpony was founded by product designer Emma Henderson with an aim to
produce fun and engaging printed products both for the home and to be worn as
accessories.
Emma is committed to using sustainable design techniques in her work. All of Showpony’s products are made using organic cotton which is hand-spun and woven by a fair-trade cooperative.
The designs are screen printed by hand making each one totally unique, and each product is made in Scotland,
‘Hidden patterns’ is the theme behind Showpony’s debut collection, where folds in the material hide the darker side of the pattern. For example, glorious trees become bare branches and birds, and butterflies and flowers become insects, spiders and dead flowers.
“As a designer I love to surprise and delight. I believe an object should engage the user both emotionally and functionally. I create objects to cherish which will adorn your home long after others have been discarded.”
