At first ‘Hiding Place' appears to be an ordinary patterned purse with a
pretty floral pattern, but a closer look reveals spiders, beetles and
ants lurking in dark spaces between folds.
This purse is made from
cotton which is organically grown in India before being hand-spun, and
woven in a fair-trade cooperative. The fabric is then screen-printed by
hand and finished in Scotland.
The purse is fully lined and backed in the same (unprinted) fabric.
Due
to the handmade nature of both the fabric and the finish, some
variations may exist in both weave and print, making each item truly
unique.
Care: The fabric is fully washable although care must be taken to preserve the folds.
Size is 20cm x 10 cm.
